The charger exploded at the Almaty airport
During the inspection at the Almaty airport, an external charger exploded and caught fire in the pocket of one of the passengers.
The incident occurred in the departure hall of international flights. The passenger was supposed to fly on the Almaty — Bishkek route by Air Astana airline when the charger caught fire. It burned through the pocket of his jacket and fell to the floor. Fortunately, the man was not injured.
The aviation authorities of Kazakhstan strongly recommend that passengers follow the rules of airlines, consult, and also notify employees about the availability of chargers when checking in.
