Eco-activists paralyzed the work of Berlin airport

On November 24, 2022, eco-activists entered the territory of Berlin Brandenburg Airport and blocked two runways.

Activists of the "Last Generation" movement participated in the incident. They entered the territory of the airport, snacking wire fence with cutters. Then they glued their palms to the taxiway — the part of the airfield along which planes taxi to the runway.

Air traffic at Berlin airport was suspended. According to Flightradar, several aircraft flying up to the air harbor changed course and went to alternate airfields. The departures of several other airliners were also delayed.
