Construction works at Tashkent Airport
Tashkent International Airport (Uzbekistan) informs about the construction work in the airport building and the introduction of restrictions for passengers.
"Currently, construction work is actively underway on the territory of the Tashkent airport to expand the existing terminal. In this regard, in order to ensure safety and prevent the accumulation of people in places of construction and installation work, a number of restrictions apply," the message says.
A separate passenger drop-off/boarding line has been allocated for the entrance of vehicles, including taxis, and tourist buses next to the parking lot of the international terminal. Free travel and short-term disembarkation of passengers on this line is no more than 10 minutes. In case of a longer parking period, it is necessary to use the parking lot.
Also, due to the reconstruction of the terminal, access for mourners to the departure hall of Tashkent International Airport is temporarily limited. As an exception, entry is allowed for people accompanying pregnant women and women with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Mourners must have an identity document with them.
The stage, which includes the construction of the first floor in front of the main departure terminal, is scheduled to be completed in June 2024. The management of Uzbekistan Airports and the administration of Tashkent airport apologize to passengers, escorts and greeters for temporary inconveniences and hope for understanding.
