Anniversary photo exhibition opened at Krasnoyarsk airport
The press service of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory informs about the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Yenisei Province at the International Airport of Krasnoyarsk named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky.
15 photos – archival and modern - are presented to the visitors of the airport. The photo captures both famous Krasnoyarsk residents and historical moments – the opening of the railway bridge across the Yenisei in 1899, Yuri Gagarin's visit to the construction of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station, Leonid Brezhnev at the Krasnoyarsk airport, the meeting of Viktor Astafyev and Dmitry Hvorostovsky. The exhibition also presents footage of current events from the life of Krasnoyarsk, the authors of which are Krasnoyarsk photographers – our contemporaries.
"This year we are celebrating the two-century anniversary of the Yenisei Province, of which the Krasnoyarsk Territory has become the rightful heir. The best sons of the Fatherland settled and equipped a huge territory, laid the foundation of prosperity for the next generations. They have created a reliable stronghold of a large country here. The majestic beauty of Krasnoyarsk delights, attracts the strong and brave. Together, we continue the work of our predecessors with dignity. Our past and present are a record of hard work and inspiring victories. The industrial, scientific, sports, and cultural achievements of the peoples of Yenisei Siberia are always aimed at the future," said Alexander Uss, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The exhibition will run until the end of December.
