Abuja Airport: history and facts

1. Abuja International Airport serves the capital of Nigeria of the same name.

2. The construction of the complex was carried out relatively recently, from 2000 to 2002.

3. The new airport terminal was put into operation in 2017.

4. The airport is named after the first President of the country, Nnamdi Azikiwe.
