A drug courier was detained at Pulkovo airport

The Federal Customs Service informs about the detention at the airport of St. Petersburg of a drug courier carrying 1 kg of cocaine in his stomach.

The drug courier, a 25-year-old man, was identified during operational activities. He delivered to Russia a batch of "liquid" cocaine from Brazil for a monetary reward of 300,000 rubles. The drug was in 32 mini-containers, which the man swallowed.

In addition, a citizen of the Russian Federation was detained, who was supposed to get drugs and sell them. It was she who turned out to be the organizer of the smuggling channel.

A criminal case has been opened, the criminals face a prison term of up to 20 years.
